Most importantly, is that their commitment to service for underrepresented minorities is decades long, beginning with working with low-income elementary school kids in math and science while in high school continuing through mentoring undergraduate researchers from diverse groups while in graduate school at UC-Davis. Most recently at her previous employer, she was the Co-Chair for Out@Broad, The Broad Institute’s LGBTQIA+ employee affinity group, and for LatinX@Broad, and currently is an active mentor to 3rd-4th graders through the Boston based non-profit “Science Club for Girls”. Other interests beyond philanthropy include spending time with their two dogs (Olive and Blue), exploring New England, anything true crime-related and cooking new recipes, the more exotic the better!
