All vendors must carry proof of Exhibitors General Liability Insurance with North Shore Pride, P.O. Box 355, Manchester, MA 01944, named as an Additional Insured on the Certificate of Insurance.

Conditions of the Event

  1. Vendor Insurance: North Shore Pride’s insurance company requires all vendors to have Exhibitors General Liability insurance with North Shore Pride named as an Additional Insured on the Certificate of Instance.
    • If you are a vendor with Exhibitors General Liability Insurance, please upload a copy of a Certificate of Insurance with “North Shore Pride Inc., PO Box #355, Manchester, MA 01944” named as an Additional Insured with your Vendor Registration form.
    • If you are a Vendor without Exhibitor’s General Liability Insurance, you may purchase a 1-day liability certificate of insurance for $65 through Total Event Insurance HERE.
  2. Entries: The festival is open to all nonprofit organizations, businesses, crafters, artists, and food vendors who have the approval of North Shore Pride, Inc.
  3. Advertising: The North Shore Pride Parade and Festival is extensively advertised on the North Shore Pride web site, social media, local news media, posters, and program ad books.
  4. Tenting: North Shore Pride, Inc. does not provide tents or equipment to secure tents. Vendors must supply their own tent if they wish to use one. Any tent larger than 10’x10’ is required by the City of Salem Fire Department to have a Fire-Retardant Certification. Please contact the City of Salem Fire Department to obtain a Fire-Retardant Certification for your tent. You may not utilize spikes or implant any such devices into the ground on the Salem Common. Please come prepared with weights to secure your tent(s).
  5. Electricity: Electricity may be available on a limited basis to Food Vendors only.
  6. Tables, Chairs, and Stock: North Shore Pride will supply one (1) table and two (2) chairs per Single booth, two (2) tables and four (4) chairs per Double booth, and three (3) tables and six (6) chairs per Triple booth.
    • Vendors must supply their own clean table cover to protect the table. All stock boxes must be kept out of sight until the end of the event except while actively restocking.
    • If a customer should be injured by any vendor’s equipment, merchandise, or supplies during set up, the Event, or break down, the vendor is liable.
    • Each vendor must set up and break down their own tents, merchandise, and equipment.
  7. Parking: No vehicles except for Food Vendors, City Vehicles, and vehicles approved by North Shore Pride, Inc., are allowed on the common. There are no parking passes and vendors may park wherever parking is allowed by the City of Salem.
  8. Payment: Payment may be made via PayPal within the Vendor Registration form. If paying by check, make checks payable to North Shore Pride, Inc. You are required to send full payment, based on your selected booth space size. No spaces may be re-rented or given to another vendor. Checks must accompany the application mailed to North Shore Pride, Inc. PO Box #355, Manchester, MA 01944. If you require an alternative payment method, please contact
  9. Refunds: An application is a commitment to the event. No refunds will be given after the acceptance notice is sent.
    • Immediately notify if unable to attend the event.
    • If the event is not held, refunds will be issued. In the event of cancellation, the notice will be emailed to the address used to register for the event and announced on the North Shore Pride web site and social media accounts. The event will not be cancelled for rain.
  10. Returned Checks: The fee to the registered vendor each time a check is returned by a bank is $35.00. Full restoration payment to North Shore Pride, Inc must be made within one (1) week of notification of insufficient funds. Any vendor with outstanding fees will not be permitted at the North Shore Pride Festival 2024 until the full balance is paid.
  11. Applications: A blank Application and Agreement may be copied as necessary, however online application is preferred. If applying by mail, the Application, signed Agreement, and payment must be received to confirm registration for the Festival.
  12. Notification: Notification of acceptance to the event will be emailed to the address provided on the registration form.
  13. Food Vendors: All Food Vendors must complete the Application for Temporary Food Service Permit (
    • No extreme handling or open cooking of food is allowed.
    • All food must be pre-cooked.
    • No dietary supplements are allowed.
    • No more than 50 LBs of propane per vendor. Propane permits may be obtained at the Fire Prevention Office, 29 Fort Avenue, Salem, MA 01970.
  14. Set Up Time: All vendors and their merchandise must be set up by 11:00 AM on the day of the Event. No vendor is allowed to set up the evening prior to the event.
  15. Event Participation: All vendors must remain until the end of the festival and begin break down and clean up no earlier than 4:00 PM. Vendors must remove all merchandise and equipment by 5:00 PM. Vendors must clean their booth area and place all trash in city-provided receptacles. Vendors may leave provided table(s) and chairs in their space.
  16. Street vendors are not allowed to participate in North Shore Pride Parade and Festival.

This application and agreement covers the 2024 North Shore Pride Parade and Festival. I/We the applicants have read the conditions of the event attached to this application and agree to abide by the conditions. I/we agree to assume full responsibility for my property. In addition, I/we do expressly release North Shore Pride, Inc. from any and all liability for any damage, injury, or loss of any person, business or property which may arise from participation in the North Shore Pride Parade and Festival and agree to hold and save the North Shore Pride, Inc. harmless of any damage, injury or loss by reason thereof. I/we understand that if this application is not accepted, all fees will be returned by mail. If this application is accepted, I/we give permission to use my name, business name, photo descriptions, item prices, photos or images take of me or my items for any and all purposes. I agree to all of the Conditions of the Event. Once accepted, I understand all fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
